S and SH type pumps are single-stage, double-suction, split-casing centrifugal pumps used for pumping clean water and liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water. These pumps have a head ranging from 9 meters to 140 meters and a flow rate ranging from 126 m³/h to 12500 m³/h. The maximum liquid temperature must not exceed 80℃.

The core feature of a double-suction pump lies in its "double-suction" structure, meaning that water enters simultaneously from both sides of the impeller. The working principle of a double-suction pump is based on its unique double-suction structure. Liquid enters the impeller from both sides simultaneously, gains energy in the high-speed rotating impeller, and is discharged from the center of the pump casing. This symmetrical double-sided inlet design not only achieves a large flow rate but also cancels out the axial force on the impeller, thus ensuring high stability and a long service life for the pump unit.

▼Precautions for use

Start-up, shutdown, and pressure control: Before starting, ensure the pump is full of liquid; dry running is strictly prohibited. When feeding, follow the principle of adjusting the pressure from low to high to avoid sudden high-pressure impacts that could damage the filter plates and seals.

Sealing and flushing: Regularly check the wear of the mechanical seal and the cooling water system to prevent leaks. For pumps conveying easily crystallizing or granular materials, flush with clean water after shutdown to prevent blockages.

Daily maintenance and materials: Regularly inspect and replace wear parts such as bearings and impellers. Ensure the characteristics of the conveyed medium (such as particle size and viscosity) are within the pump's design limits to guarantee stable operation.
